Sal Samani: it seems that last step is not necessary. You can “save and continue later”, then your login/logout functions will become available. I added other external collections and managed to make use of the limited functionality. The downside is you don’t see the Users collection, so you can’t add other attributes on your it, you have to work only with the token and user id.

Will this be able to handle parsing information from a JWT? The current implementation is missing this functionality. It would be nice to have a full oauth implementation that would work robustly with identification services such as auth0, okta etc

Beta is going well - need a way to store additional user properties in the logged in user session. Could be done via states or magic text.
