Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on building my new app with Adalo, which will replace my existing app already available in the App Store and Google Play.
My current app has nearly 500,000 downloads, and during the summer months, I experience a significant spike—around 100,000 concurrent users across both Android and iOS.
Since I’m still exploring whether Adalo can meet my needs, I thought I’d ask the community as well, especially since I haven’t received clear answers from the Adalo team yet.
Here are my main questions:
-
Platform Capacity & Bandwidth
Can the Adalo platform handle high traffic like this? Does it make a difference if there are 1 or 100,000 users online at the same time?
I noticed there’s a limit on data storage, but that’s not an issue for me. What I couldn’t find is clear info about bandwidth limits—especially for the Professional Plan. Does anyone know more about this? -
Push Notifications
I also couldn’t find a solid answer (docs, forum, or YouTube) regarding how push notifications work in detail:
A- Can I send push notifications to all users, even if they’re not logged in (e.g., using the app as a guest)? (Maybe automatically create a user without a password, etc.)
B- Will users receive notifications even if the app isn’t actively open on their device?
C- If I have, say, 50,000 installs—can I send a notification to all of them at once?
D- And how exactly does the two-week rule apply in this case?
I’d really appreciate it if anyone with experience or insight could share what they know.
Thanks in advance!
