Hi all,

I am sending email notifications to my users and i want to add a button in the email where they can click and it opens the APP directly on their phone .

Is there a way to do that ? deeplink opens in browser which does not make sense (if they have the app installed).

Hey @amrj6823,

The deep link option is the right way to achieve the feature you mentioned. If the deep link is not opening inside the app, it means that it wasn’t configured properly, or the link is opening in your gmail browser.

Hi, thanks for your response, the deeplink setup is done properly, the thing that it opens in the browser first, asking for permission to open the app , then if you dont click on (allow or dont allow) it keeps going and opens in the browser.

Thanks for the screenshot, the HTTPS Deep Link is correct, but iOS is handling the handoff differently from Android in this case. With Android, the link can be handed directly from Chrome to the installed app, while on iOS the browser can remain involved in the handoff and show this prompt.

There are a few possible factors with iOS Universal Links, including the app’s deep link configuration and how the link is being handled from the email. There’s a similar case on the forum, so I’d suggest submitting a ticket for this specific case with the link and iOS details so they can verify the configuration on their side.
