Native Web View: any way to catch postMessage or detect URL changes from an embedded iframe/widget?

Hey Y’all,

Does Adalo’s native Web View component support detecting postMessage events from an embedded page, or navigation/URL changes within it (i.e. an ‘on message received’ or ‘on URL change’ action)? Community threads and Adalo support both suggest no, but can anyone confirm whether this has changed, or if there’s a supported workaround?

  1. Is there a marketplace component (paid or free) that bridges window.postMessage from an embedded iframe/webview back into Adalo’s action/data layer on native iOS/Android, not just the HTML Renderer, which only renders static content?
  2. Has anyone integrated a third-party embeddable widget (Stripe Checkout, Calendly, or similar postMessage-based embeds) into a native Adalo app? What approach did you use, polling a backend after a manual ‘done’ button, a custom component, deep linking, or something else?
  3. Are there known plans or a roadmap item for native Webview to support JS event listeners / URL-change detection, since this seems like a common blocker for any third-party embedded widget?

Jumping in on this older post because people still hit this wall. The built-in component still cannot catch those events or detect redirects. For Calendly or Stripe, I usually set up deep link redirect URLs or use webhooks with backend polling after a manual confirmation tap. Has anyone tested building a custom marketplace component to pass messages back through the React Native bridge recently?
