Any response on responsive design?
Hi all! Any news of on responsive? It is essential!!
Over a year on this request? Is it going to be addressed in the near future?
Having a “Visibility” option based on “Screen size” would already enable to cover a lot of cases, without requiring a 4-months roadmap slot. For instance, it could be very helpful to display the main menu “mobile icon” on mobile (which expands) versus the full text links side by side on desktop. Not perfect for clarity while building the app, but that would still really help.
Hi
, is there any workaround for now ? If i publish a PWA identical to my desktop app with a shared database, is there a way for the users to land on the PWA rather than the desktop app if they use a mobile ?
Clément Witz: right now, not automatically. You could put icons on both sites indicating to switch to the other version (i.e., on the desktop version have a link/icon “Do you want to view the mobile version?”)
In the future, if you can embed code, it should be easier to redirect users based on their screen size.
Erik Goins: great, thanks, waiting for it then !
It would be nice to have something similar to XCode - with horizontal/ vertical/spacing constraints.
Technically, you can already build for mobile on Adalo. I built my web app with a 594 width and it seems to work fine on most mobile browsers and looks okay on desktop browsers. The feature here that would be important is to be able to make things stack and manage how things stack when squeezed. When I built it with a wider page, when it rendered, it would squeeze things that were next to each other on mobile.
For a tool such as adalo which is built on React to not be responsive is an absolute joke.
Building websites with Adalo is obviously on the backburner for the Adalo team. They are cleary mobile-first focused, which is fine, just don’t allow us to even make a “normal” website if the functionality is going to be this crippled.
Hello! Any update on this? FIngers crossed! ![]()
Super critical for our business this one - I read in the series A blog post this is on the road map for ‘this year’ hope that means before 2022.
I’m just looking at Adalo for the first time, having struggled with Bubble’s complete lack of responsiveness. Such a shame to find Adalo has the same issue.
Adalo is awesome, but responsive design is very necessary (like Dorik for example, see attached). Thanks
Need this as different users have font size changed in their device settings causing the entire user interface to be messed up.
Yes. I have figured out how to get around this in many cases but it has been time consuming. Responsive or breakpoint would be great!
Great ! Do I need to rebuild my entire web-only project or I can smoothly update my project ? Thank you
Hi Josh Johnson , Just checking in on Adalo’s progress with the new architecting of web apps – desktop and mobile. Are there any incremental updates that have been completed thus far – happy to test them. Many thanks to you and the team. Mary
MJ Pender: Will be a few more weeks. It’s starting to look really great though. I can’t wait to share what we’ve come up with.
Josh Johnson: That’s good to hear Josh.
