# Sendgrid api help

Hi everyone,

I’m having some trouble sending out an email using the sendgrid API.

I’ve got a form in my app with a date picker in it, which saves the date to a database entry, this is fine and saves correctly. The API then uses this info to send a sendgrid email, however, the date in the email is always displayed as 19195, no matter what date is in the database in adalo.

Any ideas would be gratefully received! Thanks.

Hi @JLCSerious,

In your Custom Action what’s the input type you have created for the date? If it’s Date and Time can you try changing that to text and save it and try again?
