# Trying to write the same record to multiple tables

Hi there,

I am trying to assign the selected value from a drop down list to multiple collections at the same time.

Drop down menu list comes from 1 collection.

This collection is linked to users, so i can get the logged in user “name” assigned to this drop down menu selected value.

other collections are mirror images to the one aforementioned.

With the 1st collection, i can directly assign the value of the drop down menu to the “update” function (when pushing a button), however this isn’t possible for the other collections.

Is there a special feature in adalo to copy 1 value across multiple tables at once?
