Android 16 KB native library alignment

Hi!

I just published a new build to be in line with Android API level 35 and it was successfully released in the Google Play Console, but I received the following technical alert:

To ensure your app works correctly on the latest versions of Android, Google Play requires all apps targeting Android 15+ to support 16 KB memory page sizes.

From May 1, 2026, if your app updates do not support 16 KB memory page sizes, you won’t be able to release these updates.

Your latest production release does not support 16 KB memory page sizes.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I could use some help getting this resolved as well. The above comment - is this something we need to do, or is it something the Adalo team will implement for future builds?

Hi!

I understand what it means, but this was a fresh build, to cover the API level 35. Once it was reviewed and released, I got this new alert. So I pretty much doubt a new build will resolve this, unless Adalo make some changes in how the builds are compiled, as @appbuilder mentioned.

Any update r.e this - only a few days before this is due by Google Policy

Hi there,

We are aware of Google’s upcoming requirement for all Android 15+ apps to support 16 KB memory page sizes by April 30, 2026. Our team will make the necessary updates to ensure Adalo builds meet this standard well before the deadline.

Once these changes are live, you will simply need to generate a new build in Adalo and publish it to your production release track in the Google Play Console to stay in compliance. We’ll share an update in advance so you know when new builds include 16 KB support.

Additionally, we recommend reviewing your app size and performance ahead of this update. You can use the new Adalo X-Ray tool to identify areas for optimisation, reduce your app’s size, and improve overall performance.

@JahnaviHB just in case I’ve just received another email from Google:

4 of your apps are affected by Google Play’s 16 KB page size requirements
We may have accidentally sent you an email with an incorrect deadline. The correct deadline is Nov 1, 2025.

You can automatically extend this deadline to May 31, 2026 in Play Console. Please see below for the corrected message.

To ensure your app works correctly on the latest versions of Android, Google Play requires all apps targeting Android 15+ to support 16 KB memory page sizes.

From Nov 1, 2025, if your app updates do not support 16 KB memory page sizes, you won’t be able to release these updates.

Hello there, just dropping by to check in on this topic. Should we proceed with postponing the deadline until May 31, 2026?
