Ability to export code with options such as react, react native
Is there any official comment on this? This is a key feature for scaling and growing the App.
I’m also really interested in this feature. I get that some people like the idea of it being completely “no-code”, but why not also allow those who can code the ability to prototype the initial base app and then export it to add more advanced features. It seems like this would be an incredibly valuable feature.
We are an agency, and we need this in order to give our customers the sense that the code is theirs, even though they wouldn’t be able to modify it
At least for frontend (logic would be great too). I’m finding RN to be so easy, very relatable to HTML/CSS but would never want to write it.
It would be spectacular to be able to export the code, in case a client requests it. Is Adalo considering doing this?
Dan Schoonmaker: We’d have the option of adding so much things so that the adalo devs don’t have to.
This would be huge. The main use case for me would be to add other solution’s SDKs in the generated code.
Thank you
Definitely need this to scale app. Especially if we are paying monthly there should be a code export option. Would really take Adalo to the next level.
Honestly this would be really great. I think it would take Adalo to the next level.
This would be a game changer if you could export code. I know a new No-code providers in beta, which is doing this, so you can code if you like and host elsewhere.
Now with the new $8m funding I really hope Adalo takes exporting code seriously. Its very much required in order to not have our apps limited or considered minimum viable products.
Mischelle: Exactly!I am considering moving out to that tool even though it would be complete rebuild of my app with new technology!
Sachin Hegde: My biggest issue, is speed, performance and scaling. If we could export and host on a provider that allows dedicated resources, I would not be considering moving, but for bigger project I feel moving is the best option.
Mischelle: There will be a enterprise plan coming out later this year that includes hosting your app on a different server.
I like that this is written specifically for “exporting” and does not include the additional complexity of requesting the ability to import (or reimport). One of the major issues with no-code is the inability to version control or even search. Having some type of text file that I can diff or simply ctrl+f to find variable references would give me a lot more confidence in developing something for production and save a ton of debug time.
James Agib: do you have an idea when please? Likely next weeks or months? Thank you
James Agib: That is brilliant news, this is one of the key issues for performance. I look forward to seeing the specs and price of the plan.
need export the code
This would be great for me. I have lots of additional capabilities that would require either Adalo spending months developing or I could do myself (or hire someone) fairly easily.
