Overlapping elements even 1px off can misalign components and make the layout funky. I propose some sort of ‘grid snapping’ feature to ensure that components are pixel-perfect in their places.

Absolutely. It’s not just a problem of being “1px” off. It seems to be an increasing problem for me that components go even a half-pixel off from each other, then refuse to snap against each other. If you select a group of components and move them around, you can watch them wiggle between being caught between being snapped a half pixel between, and on-pixel with surrounding components.
A grid would be nice, but it feels like the snapping and component alignment in general needs to be ironed out. Why do components go off-layout and refuse to line up???
