How to stop paying users purposly wasting actions?

Hello,

What protection do we have to stop users purposely clicking to cause us to reach the maximum monthly action usage?

Also apparently Adalo was suppose to be moving to a “pay for what you use method” by the end of 2024. Does anyone have any updates?

If that does come into place, will there be any inbuilt measurements to stop someone maliciously installing an auto clicker on their iphone for example, either wasting clicks, or cause me to pay a huge bill? Question seems silly, but i’m genuinely worried if i publish my app.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi!

1st - why would anyone do that? If they mean you harm and don’t know exactly how adalo works, they can do nothing,

2nd - Adalo’s CEO, declared that it would be over with the actions count by the end of January

The issue is that someone potentially can do it, and im interested to know what adalo is going to do to protect their paying users from being charged a huge “pay for what your users have used” bill.

Can users who paid for my app sue if a limit is reached and they are locked out of an app that they paid for?

Sure i can tell them to be careful in the terms and conditions, but that’s spreading bad ideas.

Is your app click based?
Are your users going to gain anything from non stop clicking?

And like I said adalo is going to remove the action count at once,

And even if you reach your limit, adalo will notify you and you will be able to buy more actions

Oh so they wont automatically charge you if you go over? Thats good. Im still worried about legal action that can be taken if people paid for the app, and are locked out due to an action cap. I would really like adalos team/legal team to help me out.

If your app has a high risk of misuse, you can add limits on repetitive actions or create cooldown periods for certain features. Also, updating your terms and conditions to include action limits can help avoid legal issues.
