I propose a new component for Adalo that allows users to click on an icon to display a list of items in a popup menu, as shown in the attached image. When an item is clicked, the menu should automatically disappear and execute the selected action set in the Adalo editor. If the action takes the user to another page to update a record and they return to the previous page, the popup menu should not reappear. This enhancement addresses a common issue where popup menus will do this when building custom solutions.
This new component would significantly improve the user experience by providing a clean and efficient way to manage popup menu items. While there is an existing expandable menu component, it requires the width of the box to match the length of the words, and it doesn’t offer the option to use just an icon to trigger the popup menu. This proposed component would allow for a more streamlined and visually appealing interface. Let’s upvote this request to enhance Adalo’s functionality and user experience!
