Images Not Loading iPhone

Hi,

I’m having an issue in a web app where images in lists are not displaying on some iPhones, they load on android and the web version. Some iPhones on different iOS versions are able to load the images and some aren’t. I’ve tried:

  • Clearing the cache and website data on phones
  • Tried it in multiple browsers but it is the same in each one

I have attached screenshots, one where the image loads from 1 phone and and one where it doesn’t load on a different phone.

Thanks in advance.

Having this same problem!

Hi @brady612 @James91,

Seems you’re not alone with this problem. I’d recommend submitting a ticket Right Desk, so that Adalo team is aware and can take care of it.

Best,
Victor.

Hi there,

I just wanted to let everyone know we are actively working on a fix to this issue. It appears to be specific to iOS 18.3+. It’s a pretty strange problem because this iOS version (and newer) refuses to render only some images in certain situations but renders others just fine.

In any case, we’re working on the issue and will report back here once resolved!

Hi all,

On Wednesday, February 19 around 4pm Eastern we deployed a fix to this issue which after additional testing only partially resolved the issue. Very long story short, the Safari 18.3 release changed how images are handled on smaller viewports, but their (and WebKit’s) changelog didn’t include any specific details regarding the nature of the change. We can confirm yesterday’s fix partially resolved the issue however images are still intermittently not showing in certain other components.

I am happy to confirm that our team has just pushed a second round of changes to our staging environment and we’re actively testing the enhanced fix. Fingers crossed we’ll deploy it to production shortly thereafter.

Hello again,

Around 3pm Eastern we deployed a second set of changes to production, and believe this matter has been resolved. If however you continue encountering strange image visibility issues on Safari 18.3+, please let us know either here or via the usual support channels.

Thank you for your patience on this one! It’s a very strange issue and we’re happy it seems to have been resolved.
