If you’ve recently published an app to the Google Play store, then you’ve probably received an email or seen a warning about Google requiring support for “16KB page sizes”. This warning has nothing to do with “pages” in the sense of screens, but rather has to do with memory-related (as in RAM) changes to the Android operating system.
Effective November 1, 2025 all apps submitted to the Google Play store must support 16KB page sizes on 64-bit devices (previously the standard was 4KB page sizes). For unclear reasons Google has moved this deadline up twice, originally starting at May 1, 2026 before moving it to November 11, 2025 and now to November 1, 2025.
Keep in mind this has nothing to do with Adalo itself; all Android apps must support this new standard.
Adalo has updated its infrastructure to support this new requirement. However you will need to republish your Adalo app so Adalo can repackage your app to support this new standard. Keep in mind this is only a pressing matter if you are actively updating your app; apps already installed on Android devices will continue to work fine. Before republishing your app you will need to make sure the new React Native flag is enabled inside your app’s settings:
If you run into any issues after enabling the new React Native version, please contact our support team so we can have a look!
