I have a list of Tutors. Each Tutor (Current User) has a Tutor Location & Maximum Travel Distance. The Student (Logged in User) has a Student Location.
The Student does a Tutor Search. I need to filter the Tutor list to show only those tutors to the Student (Logged in User) where the Tutor Location is within the Max Travel Distance from the Student Location.
It seems that I cannot do it with this set up. Anyone can help point out how this can be done

  1. I would look at Adalo University and follow the Airbnb clone tutorial. It won’t be exact, but would point you in the right direction. It demonstrates distances between properties and users.

  2. Consider using cities / towns, like Craigslist dot org does, and not distance parameters.
    Tutors can multi-select cities / towns that are they are willing to travel to.

I suggest this because, as a tutor, you may willing to travel further in one direction, during one part of the day. And, not willing to drive far at all in another direction, due to traffics etc.

  1. Or, consider building a chat messenger OR email that allows admin, tutors, and students to chat about location.
