Ability to show a title next to a marker on the map. This would allow the user to identify what a pin is without clicking into it.

Yes this is really important. Otherwise having multiple markers on a map is quite useless. It would give users a better app experience if there was some a card at the bottom that could be swiped.
The pins should also be colour coded or be changed so if its an app that has restaurants, salons, hotels etc, a user could differentiate easily.
