🏛️ Q2 Town Hall coming soon... what questions do you want answered?

Ok, I see the issue. According to Adalo’s docs, you cannot use an Adalo sub-domain with a PWA, it only works with desktop web apps… which is really odd, honestly. But apparently that’s how they have it configured, which would explain your issue.

So, I guess you’ll need a custom domain to use the PWA.

“You cannot use Adalo subdomains on PWA apps, only on desktop web apps. You can however, use custom subdomains on PWA apps.” Publishing to the Web - Adalo Resources

"

Ok thank you. Well I am utilizing the app on my phone but was just wondering because some people maybe using the website. Again thank you

No problem, sorry wasn’t the answer you were looking for. Not sure where you’re located but in the US you can grab a domain name from domain.com for pretty cheap, and then you shouldn’t have the SSL issue with PWA anymore.

Uhhh for the whole post, not just that one line :man_shrugging:

You’re welcome Barrett :+1:

I think one of the advantages for Adalo was since launch pricing has always been simple. If pricing plans are going usage-driven based on actions, multi-sided apps, publishing, web v mobile, etc. (which I’m not totally against) and it leaves a lot more information to be shared, and users input to be considered before anything is final.

Hope you can get the answers from David and team!

Yes, an update on Deep Linking would be great!

P.S. @msmurfitt Deep Links is actually #3 (not #7), per image below, correct?

#7 based on votes

I have questions for the Townhall about the health of the Adalo team and business.
My post was deleted elsewhere and cited as being off topic.

So I’ll post it here, where it’s open to questions.

To make sure that nothing I have said is being flagged as conspiracy theory, I have questions the team may choose to answer (or not).

  1. What percentage of your (entire) Adalo team that was on salary was let go in the past 6 months, or replaced with non-salaried positions?
  2. What percentage of your programming / technical team is on salary and what percentage of your programming / support / tech team is outsourced on a non-salary pay scale. (Not customer support, not marketing, not administrative - programming and database technicians to run the backend)
  3. Where are the stats / break downs on the larger accounts utilizing Adalo in a live setting. Anonymized data on largest apps being supported on Adalo, number of apps supporting more than 10k or 20k users even, and the crash data / uptime on these apps.
  4. What is the financial health of Adalo - do you have cash on hand for business expenses for the next year and what is the revolving credit your company has access to in the event you don’t have cash on hand. (Can you make good on 1 year upgrades by customers), minus any debt Adalo has taken on.
  5. What percentage of hires have been with salaried programming / database / technical positions in the past 6 months that are still currently retained with Adalo for native mobile apps.

I think it’s easy to pass off criticisms as ‘conspiracies’. I think it’s also easy to answer questions.

Don’t waste your time answering my questions.

My app has been deleted. I quit Adalo. Never to return.

Feel free to delete my account. Good luck. Never quit. @David

If you do a bit of homework, investors of Adalo are 13, to name some top ones:

Tiger Global Investments and Rainfall Ventures (This one Seed round), also I see Bossanova investments, then some individual investors.

Programmers and Customer support in my opinion come and go, this is not an issue for me, look at Amazon, one of the highest rotation companies in the world and still number one in the world and the biggest margin already comes from AWS, not “Retail”.

Most important for me is, are these investors for the long run and how are they currently “Satisfied”? Where is the money being invested exactly (10M$ seems a lot for a startup, but it isn’t, if you are investing heavily in resources, so breakdown on investment in IT and Platforms would make more sense) on and where is the roadmap?
