This would give you the ability to bold, italicize, underline, and add ordered & bulleted lists to any text element. (Note there might be more abilities here like strikethrough and such but we won’t know until we get into the planning for this.)
Also be great if users could use this functionality eg add a comment with bold or code section
I’d like to suggest the option to add ‘legal’ numbering;
- Section Title
1.1 Clause text
a) Sub-clause 1
b) Sub-clause 2
1.2 Clause Text
1.3 Clause Text
1.4 Clause Text
a) Sub-clause 1
i) Sub-sub clause 1
ii) Sub-sub clause 2 - Section Title
If the Tagging* feature ever goes to print then the ability to define a term as a ‘virtual hashtag’ so that people could click on it to scroll to the definition (like a html anchor), or see the definition in a tooltip, would open up a whole world of LawTech possibilities…
Similarly, ability to specify that a text input should default to uppercase
Agree. That would be useful. Just a checkbox in edit that says “Uppercase” for the magic text.
Hi guys, any update about it? It’s crucial to have that in order to format the text with html or markdown!
We should at least be able to enter text using markdown
Anything on this? Such a basic and crucial thing.
Ya this is very needed, at least just making paragraphs.
It would be greatly appreciated if this feature would be added to the components list…![]()
Proper styling is vital to communicating effectively with customers. Being able to italicize just a few specific words within one text box would be smart. (free & paid versions) plus, bonus for allowing the user to copy and paste text from the web app (not just native)
I’d love the ability to let my users use a rich text field in my app. Is there any progress on this feature?
Alternatively, is there a customer component now available in the marketplace?
Hi, any update on this? The markdown component Adalo often points us to is quite buggy, it has a set standard text size that is too small and in native apps it appears to make all components below it hidden.
Images too.
Any updates or any workaround?
Basic things for formatting a text are missing in all the elements made available. For example, in the input fields it is not possible to define the alignment–it is absurd!
Davide Soncin: 100% agreed. It’s annoying that we can’t have clickable links in the rich text editor or pictures! Also why in read-only mode is there no option for it to auto expand if we want. I feel like a lot of these components are not built to the adalo standards. They say it’s suppose to be customizable and a list of things and lots of these components lack customizable options. That’s why I will NOT pay another dollar until I see changes. The configurable section (Philosophy | Adalo) is 100% not followed. Check it out and I encourage others to check it out and speak up.
