The text color doesn't change. Why?

Even though both the default and specific settings are set to have the text color as white, it remains black as shown in the screenshot. The same applies to all other areas. Why?

Hi @Yuki.O,

Just to clarify - on the second screenshot, section “Font Color”, I can see “Default Bac…” which is selected. Could you doublecheck if this is set to “Default Text”, not “Default background”?

Best,
Victor.

Hello, @Victor, thank you for your help. I think you are hitting around the point.
When I select “FFFFFF”, it displays “Default Bac…” and the text color is black on preview.
But when like selecting “FAFAFA” or around the “FFFFFF”, it works by the selected color on the right way.

I am available from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM (Japan time) on the 24th, 25th, and 26th. How about that? Would a Zoom call work for you?

Hi @Yuki.O,

As I can see your default Background color is still #000000 (the one in “Colors” settings on the left pane).
Did you try to change it?

Best,
Victor.

Hello, what you mean?

I would like to set the back ground color #000000, though? ( I want to set it as like black mode so.) If I set it #FFFFFF, all screen back color will be white. I dont like that.

Hello @Yuki.O,

Ok, it seems there is a confusion here in multiple areas. I’ve replicated your setup and the text in the input is displayed correctly, although visually settings do not display correct color.

Here are general color settings (background is black, textcolor is white):

Here are the settings for Input. You can see that the color selected is “Default Bac…”, which is apparently default background. However, the color itself isn’t displayed correctly both in the selection and in the color picker.

Nevertheless, the text color in the input is correct:

Then I’ve changed the input background to grey and text color to “default text color”. The colors in the picker aren’t displayed correctly:

However, in the previewer everything works just fine:

In your screenshots I can see that you have been selecting default background color for text. It’s displayed as white (incorrectly) but in fact it is a background.

An interesting part is that entering color manually (#FFFFFF) doesn’t help as it automatically converts to default background selection. Although you can enter FFFFFE which is almost white.

So it is an Adalo bug with colors, but there are workarounds as described above.

Best,
Victor.

@Yuki.O my pleasure. I’ve submitted a ticket to Adalo, hopefully they fix this problem, as the issue is quite confusing.
