I’ve been using ChatGPT when I need help to do something on Adalo. It often gives instructions that do not align with how Adalo actually works.
Has anyone had better luck with Gemini or Claude (or something else)?

If your prompt is a general one, it will give you a general (and often wrong) answer. Context is king and feed the AI first. You just need to give as much detail as possible. Since Adalo is more on the visual side, you need to provide screenshots or describe the details of what is happening. I think Gemini is the best here since it can access live the forum and documentation. Also, if you feed the AI too much information or as the chat continues, the AI can become derailed. I advise keeping a notepad handy and having the AI summarize from time to time before entering a new prompt. If an answer is not good, the best way is not to send a new prompt in the chat box, but to edit your previous prompt instead.
I find that the answers are wrong because the AI doesn’t know how Adalo works. It will say things like “look for something that looks like ____” rather than knowing what the right option is. Maybe the issue is weak documentation from Adalo?
The issue usually isn’t the AI itself, it’s that Adalo has very specific concepts (relationships, filters, visibility rules) that generic AI doesn’t understand unless the question is framed in Adalo terms.
AI can help with logic and structure, but for Adalo-specific implementation, context and experience matter more than the tool.

I mostly use AI along with Adalo to get some help to understand some complex features/logics where I’m having some hard time to understand, by breaking it into small pieces, and sometimes through a JS code; a Pseudo code; or a SQL code which then it helps me to understand what I need to do. (However it’s different when applying into the Adalo app though)
What I’ve seen is that AI tries to create new options that are don’t even exist in the builder so most people gets confused if they don’t have much experience with Adalo and I guess it’s due to Adalo being a no-code platform, AI tries to give like code-style solutions and maybe wouldn’t be able to access media items in help docs or discussions. (Inputting some media with the prompt might help sometimes)
However for me, the documentation and most importantly the discussions in this forum solved most of my issues. The AI search bar in the docs page and AI chat bot in the builder definitely helped me sometimes! Sometimes I use AI to find similar discussions with their web search capabilities when I’m unable to find, to see if I’ve missed anything and it worked for me most of the times.
Other than that, I use AI along with Adalo to identify errors that comes with APIs when I couldn’t understand. (It’s generic ChatGPT or Gemini, or sometimes Copilot) See this recent session recording part where Kyle use Claude AI to retrieve the information for connect the weather API. : https://youtu.be/KnhUK3OVQ7M?t=1349 Overall it’s a good experience but I only use if I really didn’t found any solution with a careful review because most times AI provides information that are not very much accurate.
I’m pretty sure that AI is going to become a major topic among Adalo builders very soon once advanced AI features start shipping. Most likely, there’ll be an announcement from the team before the end of this year, so stay tuned! ![]()
Thank you and have a great day!
I don’t have many issues with Gemini. It knows exactly how adalo works with little guidance. Even paid components and how they work. Gives you multiple routes for issues again with little guidance but you also have to know what you’re asking. Let it know exactly what you’re doing from the jump so it remembers as you get deeper into your questioning. So it can tailor it’s answers to exactly what you need
Thanks for sharing this, @Teaminsane415. It’s great to hear that Gemini is working well for you, especially with Adalo’s paid components. Your advice about establishing clear context from the start is exactly right, that’s key to getting the most out of any AI.
Really glad you joined the community, looking forward to your contributions here. Welcome! ![]()
