4 questions over configuration

I am new to Adalo, but I have a pro account and I am not a programmer but a functional analyst. And I have 4 punctual questions.

  1. In the confirmation of mail when registration is made, an email is received from Adalo. How can I use my email?
  2. I would like to send an email when the user creates an event in the application. how can I do it?
  3. When I try to place my domain, it says that I wait 30 minutes but I have waited more than 2 hours and nothing happens, is that normal?
  4. Whereas i have pro account, i have a seat, however, what is seat?

I had thought my questions were very basic, however I expected help on this forum, but nothing. No one reponds, so where is the direct support of adalo.

We don’t currently send out confirmation emails with Adalo. Can you elaborate a bit on this?

You unfortunately can’t do this natively with Adalo quite yet, however, you can setup Zapier to trigger an email with something like sendgrid.

Has your domain passed the Test Setup? If so, you’ll need to assign the domain to an app in the publish panel for it to take effect. If it hasn’t passed the Test Setup quite yet, this could be your DNS provider taking a bit of time to apply the new settings.

A seat is essentially an editor for your app. With the pro plan only 1 seat is included, which is for yourself.

I’m also investigating the “Customer Journeys” feature of Mixpanel for this FYI. I saw Adalo has a nice built-in integration with MP that makes it easy to get that working. Their service is free for up to 1k monthly tracked users so could be a very elegant way to solve this. I’ll report back in the forums once I have it working. It also facilitates multi-channel communication so not just email but SMS, in-app notifications and posting to web hooks (which would enable Slack, WhatsApp and anything else with an API). I’ll report back.

  1. Currently for Password Reset, you can not change the provider email. There is a feature request for more functionality for it that you can view and upvote here: https://ideas.adalo.com/feature-requests/p/customize-password-reset

  2. I’m currently not aware of any guides on sending emails with zapier and sendgrid unfortunately.

  3. That definitely shouldn’t be hanging like that. Have you tried refreshing your page and seeing if anything has changed?

I am having this same issue. I have spoken with my domain provider (GoDaddy) and waited overnight for it to update. They’re saying it’s an issue with the hosting site (adalo). Can someone help? I’m in a bit of a crunch for time. @zachbharris

The same case, my domaine provider is godaddy, but i’ve tried with Google Cloud and i have the same resultat. :frowning:

Hi perc80. Here’s what I was able to do today: I set the name in GoDaddy to just the prefix, not the whole address. In my case I needed ‘go.givlyapp.com’ I changed it in GoDaddy to just ‘go’ in the name space. Then I tested it then published it and it worked. See if it works for you. You don’t have to change it in adalo, just in godaddy.

Is that right?

Hmm mine doesn’t quite look like that. I think the ‘points to’ would be hosting.adalo.com
