Critical Issue: Audio Player Component Missing – All Podcast Apps Broken

Hello Adalo team,

For about a week now, I have been experiencing a critical issue across all of my Adalo projects.

The native “Audio Player” component has disappeared / is no longer available, and as a result:

  • All screens that were using this component now display “Missing Component”

  • Audio content no longer plays

  • Entire applications are broken, including apps that are not yet published

  • This issue affects multiple projects, not a single app

In my case, this is extremely blocking because my main application is primarily podcast-based, with daily audio content.
The Audio Player is therefore a core component, not an optional feature.

What is especially concerning:

  • No prior notice or deprecation warning

  • No replacement component suggested

  • No official communication explaining this change

This clearly looks like a platform-level regression, not a project-specific configuration issue.

Could you please:

  1. Confirm whether the Audio Player component has been removed or disabled

  2. Clarify whether this is a temporary issue or a permanent change

  3. Provide an official workaround or a timeline for resolution

In the current state, audio-first applications are simply unusable.

I’m able to access the audio player component without any issues in apps, do you have any screenshots from the builder? Just to clarify, is the new react native version toggle turned ON or OFF and is this a legacy app or a responsive app?

Thank you for your follow-up.

I can confirm that the issue is now resolved. After enabling the New React Native version in the app settings and rebuilding the Android app, the Audio Player component is visible again and working as expected.

The problem was related to the React Native compatibility required by recent Google Play updates.
