I am trying to make an app that uses the Deck Swiper component, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to sort the deck completely by random. Would this be possible with a custom function, custom collection, anything?
hey @morgankhalil, i can add this in the next deckswiper update since lots of people have been asking for it.
currently there is (unfortunately) no way to sort a collection by random. The best you can do is assign a random number between 1-1000 or something when you create a collection entry, and use that to sort it. Kind of sucks, but a workaround.

I think I made a dirty workaround for now, still not sure if it’s actually working or not but it’s something! I made an ID column that is updated with a new random number every time someone swipes on a card and sorted by that. Sometimes I will see the same card come up in one swipe session though.
