Dropdown custom sort filter

Hi guys!
How are you? Hope all of you find well.

First of all, sorry for my english (Is a Spanish speaker).

I want to create the most typical dropdown sort filter for my Airtable external collection:

  • Date: Oldest to Newest
  • Date: Newest to Oldest
  • Price: High to Low
  • Price: Low to High

I really don´t know how to start.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
Best,

Hi! Start from creation of Goods collection with all necessary fields: Item Name, Price etc Make Sure Price is Numerical variable in database. Fill the collection with few goods (3-5).

Then you can add me as your team member and I will set the list. My email is

I only ask you to make detailed review after that with screenshots added.

Thanks for your help @HApp!
The external collection are ready and the fields have the correct variables:

My enquiry is about to how a dropdown converts into a sort filter:

  • Date: Oldest to Newest
  • Date: Newest to Oldest
  • Price: High to Low
  • Price: Low to High

This is what I need to understand to apply into the App
Can you help me with this?

Thanks again.
Best,

Hi! Thanks for this tutorial! Is it possible to create default value so it shows all list items before drop down menu is selected? I tried but didn’t work out.

Hi @roope257,

You can add another list and make it visible that Other components > Option ( Dropdown name ) > ID ( in my case I’m setting up the conditions based on the ID ) > is equal to > empty.

Thank you
