We’re excited to introduce a new ‘requestKey’ field in our API endpoint configuration! This enhancement provides greater flexibility by allowing you to specify request array or object nesting directly within the configuration UI. This means you can now override both the default JSON request and response format when configuring external collections:

This is particularly useful for Adalo Makers who want to integrate a third-party database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server into an Adalo application, because with this change it’s now possible to carry out CRUD (create, retrieve, update, delete) operations using a tool such as DreamFactory.
