Hi @Helenakin , thank you so much for your kind words very excited to see you try it!
On the demo app, we have a few web apps that are on the website (https://www.adalo.com/), but I will get you a link for iOS and Android for a marketplace app.
On the migration:
Essentially, the classic builder and the new builder are completely different foundations and architectures behind the scenes. Bridging the gap between both is taking significant development effort - we are working on it, but it would take some time. We anticipate that end of this quarter at the least, or sometime in the next. This is also because of the other feature priorities we have internally - to stay competitive in the market.
If want to migrate your old apps to the new builder, at the moment, you have one of two options at the moment:
- We’ve built in an option to share a database with any of the apps that you have. You can use the same database and build a completely new app on the new builder using the same data, and replace your apps on the stores.
- You could email me at astha@adalo.com, and I’ll get you in touch with one of the solutions engineers internally. We can rebuild your app for a small fee - this is completely optional but just for folks who currently do not have the time to rebuild their apps.
For the classic builder, we do not have plans to add features to the old builder, but we are focused on making sure its stable and bug-free. At the moment, the team is completely focussed on adding features to the new builder.
Roughly estimated, the new apps should be 50-60% faster (conservatively)- but this is a great exercise (both for the customers and for our marketing!) for us to undertake. I will get back to you with the exact numbers, and thank you for the idea!
