Hello Maker Community!
I just wanted to provide a quick update regarding Ada, Adalo’s new chat-based mobile app builder. It is currently available to 30% of Makers, and we’ll continue ramping up that number in the days and weeks ahead until all paid users have access.
If you haven’t yet heard of Ada, it’s like ChatGPT but for creating apps. You provide a prompt describing the app you’d like to create, and it will build an app in response. Once created, you can continue chatting via a side panel that appears on the right side of the canvas.
We were very careful to ensure Ada works alongside the existing Builder, rather than replaces it, meaning Makers can easily flow between chatting and using the drag-and-drop interface. Here’s a screenshot in which I ask Ada to add a button on the Home screen that takes the user to the Profile screen:
This screenshot shows just a few examples of the types of prompts you can write in order to update your app:
I just took a look at the metrics and yesterday was by far the highest usage day yet for Ada, and we expect this trend to continue because frankly it’s a lot of fun to build this way. You can even publish your app directly from the chat interface which is pretty cool too.
We’ll continue periodically posting updates here, and look forward to your feedback!
