Just pushed an update to the PDF Generator API plugin last week — v1.0.2 is now live with a new Test Mode option.
What’s new?
When Test Mode is enabled, PDFs are generated without consuming your monthly credits. The generated PDF will include a PREVIEW watermark, so it’s perfect for:
- Testing your template layout and data before going live
- Debugging payload and line item configurations
- Demoing to clients without burning credits
How to use it
In your component settings, toggle on Test Mode. That’s it — all PDF generation will use the test endpoint until you turn it off.

Also in this release
This version also upgrades the plugin to the PDF Generator API v4 endpoint, which brings a more structured request format under the hood. No changes needed on your end — it’s fully backwards compatible with your existing setup.
