Responsive Layout Constraints

To build apps that look good on both desktop and mobile, you need much more control over how components adapt based on the user’s screen size. Now, responsive design is an enormous topic that covers so many different things. We don’t want to disappear for a year as we rebuild our layout engine from scratch. Instead, we want to start making incremental improvements here that give you increased flexibility and power over time while making sure Adalo keeps the simple and friendly UX that has made us successful in a sea of hard-to-use no-code tools.
The first step on this path is layout constraints. With constraints, you’ll have greater control over how each component in your app is positioned and how it grows or shrinks based on the width of the screen.

This would be a game changer

this would definitely put Adalo on top of the NoCode software competition.

Rollo Wenlock: This would indeed be a game changer. Can’t believe it’s not getting more votes :frowning:

Agreed with the above. Without good mobile rendering, apps are limited to desktop only (rare) use cases…

Yes to this!!

Responsive App widths would be very helpful!

Erick Bonilla: Agreed. It could quickly become the go to software for SaaS app creators. Without responsive features, it is not an option for serious B2B products.

We need this!

Ben Haefele Jeremy Blalock (Adalo) Ashley Bixler Any update on this? we need this ASAP.

This is the primary limitation with Adalo right now (for me)

Ben Haefele any update on this?

I can appreciate how hard this could be but this is pretty much a major roadblock at the moment. For a product that is thought as Native first, you would expect the web-app to be working well on mobile!
An alternative I see that could not be that much work is to offer the capacity to have 2 versions of each screens one for the desktop app one for the PWA. The app would either renter the Web app on desktop or the PWA on mobile.
HOWEVER - this approach would require that the message to install the PWA is removed.

Game changer hope they will do it !!

This is the fifth-to-top post. It is sorrounded with one’s that are planned and in progress. Please, plan this!!

This is a major issue for the launch of the web version of our event hosting app. The current mobile view cuts off a whole bunch of content rendering it unusable in devices other than desktop. PLEASE PRIORITISE

Yes to this! Many users open web apps on their phones for the first time

Any update on this? This is pivotal for universal access.

It is a crucial part of our life. Users want to login from website and finds the web version worst in terms of UX
