So I did my first Stripe test transaction (not using Marketplace, just a one-time charge) for $8.00
It said there would be $0.58 in fees
But $8.00 x 2.9% + $0.30 = $0.53…
So I contacted Stripe support and he said he thinks it’s an “App Fee” aka platform fee from Adalo
However this was asked in the forum previously and you guys said there is no Adalo platform fee…
Hello! I searched the documentation, tutorials, and this forum but was not able to find relevant info.
When selling via the Stripe or Plaid integrations their respective fees are charged per transaction.
Are there any additional fees charged by Adalo on top of the Stripe & Plaid fees?
Any ideas?
Pasted from Stripe.com :
Amount
$8.00
Fee
$0.58
Net
$7.42
Status

We do not make any charge at all from our side. Please inform the Stripe rep that so they may investigate further why your fee is higher than expected.

Sure will do.
Can anyone else confirm that they’re getting the right results of 2.9% + $0.30 on their stripe test transactions?
Okay got it figured out!
Like you said it’s NOT on Adalo’s end at all.
The issue is that I’m in Canada, and the 4242 4242 4242 4242 Visa card that Stripe provides for testing is a US based card, so they also apply 0.6% for using an international credit card, and 2% for currency conversion.
Aha! Glad it’s all worked out in the end
