Too many filters... What other solution i have?

Hello,

In my mobile app, i have 6 filters and on each filters, there is between 3 and 17 choices…

Adalo is too long during the loading, but i really need to have the same result as display…

How can i do to have the same result but by doing that by a different way for that the loading become very fast.

(Each users have choosen 6 filters on what he wanted to have and can change it when he want)

Any ideas?

Hi there!

You can make 1 more step to show every choice by a banner and after that point with maps just a single place. In that way has only to load one location instead of many.

Hope to be helpful.

This is all the filters : (it’s in french and i think that translate it will change nothing to the problem… )

And this is the result of what you said :

But it change nothing of the timing of loading… (what i want is show to the user many options that correspond to all the setup. The goal isn’t to only display 1 choice)

Let me know if i haven’t well understood what you said please

You got it but I dont know actually the issue, maybe google maps is too large or your internet signal is not that strong (you are probably aware of that).

Can i have a link to test your app in order to try myself?

I studied theses both options but google maps without filters works well, and my internet connexion is also super good.

About what i sounds to have understood, the problem is the i ask to Adalo to filter the content everytimes that i open the map or the list so during the calculation, it take times…

(imagine the quantity of variation of filters that Adalo have need to calculate before to display the result… And i only have 160 activities… I would like to have more than 10k activities on the map and the list so…)

The problem that i have today will be worst everytimes that i will add new activities… This is this problem that i would like to correct…

I would like to pre-load all the results of the filters before to display the screen. Like that, it will immediatelly display the results of the filters that have been selected by a user  But i don’t know how to pre-load that…

This is the link of the mobile app : IDactivities (i think that on a computer, you can translate the content of the mobile app with the browser)

It looks in fact a big mess, btw i can tell you that in my computer it load really fast.

It’s very fast because you haven’t created an account ^^ So… you haven’t filters setups on the whole mobile app.

You just have filters on the screen that you display and if you leave it, it disappear and you have to re-setup that…

Also, normally, you only have access to maybe 10 activities (instead of 160) when you haven’t an account so… That’s why on your computer it’s very fast

But if you create an account, you will have the same problem than me… :frowning:

Already trying as you mention and got what you explain. There is nothing i can wonder to fix it atm.

I’ll be checking time to time.

Hi @LuckyTravel, are we talking about the image list or the map, in the video you mentioned? If it’s the map, how you’re mapping the location for the records? (by coordinates or full address, or something else)

Thank you and have a great day!

Hey,

I’m talking about the both… For me, their loading is too slow…

For the map, it’s by full address. The 6 filters applied show a list of activities (it’s an inner calculation, we can’t see it on a screen) and the each activities selected are displayed by full address on the map.

Have a good day you too

Hi @LuckyTravel,

Thanks for the confirmation!

You’re using the location property right? It’s better to use the coordinates instead (lat, long) to get accurate locations view.

Is it just only AND filters or only OR filters, or a combination of AND & OR filters?

Thank you and have a great day!
