Adalo please add languages to Date and Time Picker! Ready to help with localizations!

Adalo, thanks for your great platform. We love it so much! I am developer from eastern europe and this is rather big market for adalo apps and platform. We need ukrainian and russian translation options for some components, especially for Date and Time Picker!

I am ready to help and it would be a pleasure for me to provide you with translations for this component!
Please reply to this topic and I will provide all the translations in 24 hours!

I also can help with localization (ukrainian, russian) for other components!

Looking forward to your answer!

Hi @HApp, thanks for posting. For feedback and ideas, please post on https://ideas.adalo.com/

Hi @HApp we open sourced some of our localization stuff and made it free to use. I have not looked at the Adalo calander but the translation component we released should work. Use whatever text you want translated as the Key in the translation table and only Russian in the language table, then set the default language ru and it should work, depending on how the calander is built.

We also have the localization component that provides localization information that can help

Hi! Wow that sounds great! You are doing fantastic work, I use a lot of your components and you guys are the best! Thanks!

I will try your component with native Date picker component, hope that will work!)

I have tried to use translations component and made everything exactly like in your video.
I had setup just for one english word Today and it’s translations in Ukrainian and Russian.

For some weird reason on tarhet scrren with this word all text element and all buttons went blank. They had completly other names, no one had the word Today, so that is weird.

I managed to restore textes only after I discoontinued Link action to Translations loader screen…

Ha! Sorry. The component was built that if a translation was not found, it would blank it out. I have updated the component just now so that if a translation does not exist it will leave the original text as it.

Refresh the page so you get the latest copy of the component and try again.

Seems that it can not translate inner text of Adalo components, I tried it for Date picker component, to translate words like Today, Tomorrow and Days of the week to my native language but seems that translations component can not find and translate those textes

But anyway, you made a great work! Thanks you again! This will help a lot in own content translation.
Also what do you think about translating all the content on the page using Google translate api and Integromat? I have seen such realizations and it is pretty good, all the translations are done by google on the go!

Or maybe I am wrong and doing smth wrong? Can you, please, try to translate Adalo’s Date Picker component’s inner text from English to French, for example?

I would apreciate your help a lot!

Our apologies. The component was built that if a translation was not found, it would blank it out. Tkotc has updated the component just now so that if a translation does not exist it will leave the original text as it. Just refresh the page so you get the latest copy of the component and try again.

Thanks fo your work!

Now i have another problem with component… I log in, change the language and log out. Then when I log in I got stuck on Translation Loader Screen with animation constantly rotating, but nothing happens

We’ll look into that later today and hopefully have a solution for you by tomorrow.

Sure! Thank you!

I had this problem too but fixed it after some debugging. Ask these questions to yourself:

  1. Does the logged-in user have a language? If the language is blank, all the text will be blank
  2. If the translation component is pointing to the wrong collection it’ll be blank.

Thanks to @Tim_Mc @TKOTC @Mitch-Pragmaflow and the rest of the team, no one has to deal with this “bug” anymore! keep up the great work pragmaflow!!
