Hi all, we’ve developed an AI tool called X-Ray that looks through your apps on Adalo to identify screen and component choices that will reduce your app speeds. Common examples are lists nested within lists and running too many components within a screen that may result in lag, especially if you have end-users without fast internet connections or modern devices.
X-Ray has been out for beta testing with some of our Community Leaders and Experts, and their feedback has wonderful to ensure it functions properly across all of the devices, OS versions and app layouts it needs to.
Before opening it up for availability to all (all plans across Adalo) we would like to do another round of beta testing, and invite anyone who would like access to comment below. We’ll get you access, and want you to run it against your apps and let us know about any feedback you have.
The goal is to give you a tool that will help you build the fastest app possible, and over time the app dimensions that X-Ray screens for will increase! Eventually, we’d love to provide screen load time predictions!
Again, if you would like to beta test X-Ray on your own apps, comment below!
Hello, James. It’s fascinating to me. I would like to access to X-Ray. Now I am building a big project in Adalo and performance optimization is very important for me. Thank you.
Hi James, Jimmy asked me if I was on the X-ray tester team. I told him no, and I would love to have access to test our apps and those of our clients. Thanks.
Making better components would also help this. I find myself using custom lists with different operations that slow things down when a horizontal list that has dual states would have been a much simpler option.
