Hi everyone,
I got the Google Play Console warning:
“We’ve detected that 3 of your apps are targeting an old version of Android. …”
I’m using Adalo and don’t have control over the targetSdkVersion. I’ve seen similar reports:
“All of our apps are targeting SDK 33, but the Google Play console is displaying these errors in some cases when you have your older apps in some of your release tracks.”
And in July last year:
“We did a fresh build … SDK is now 34 … the warning is gone.”
So it seems rebuilding may fix this once Adalo updates the SDK.
Can someone confirm:
-
When will Android builds be updated to target API 35 (Android 15) or at least API 34?
-
Do we just need to trigger a fresh build once that update is complete?
-
Are there any temporary workarounds (e.g., rebuilding test tracks)?
Would love some clarity so I can keep my apps compliant before Google’s deadline.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
The team is aware of the required SDK upgrade and is prioritizing it. We’re currently targeting SDK 34, and with the upcoming React Native upgrade, we expect to support SDK 35 soon likely within this month.
The Google Play deadline is August 31, 2025, so no immediate action is needed. Once the update is live, simply trigger a fresh build and submit it to your Play listing to stay compliant.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
Got a reply from Adalo in case this is helpful for anybody else:
