Greetings. I received this message from Google. Does anyone know what I need to do to get to this API level? Thanks in advance.
Hi!
You just need to create a new version of your app with the updated API level, upload it to the Google Play Console, and publish it. After that, you should receive confirmation from Google within 24 hours that everything is okay.
Sometimes, internal or closed testing tracks may still reference older builds, so make sure to replace or update any test versions too. If there’s a problem, it will usually show up during that review phase — but most of the time, it’s resolved automatically after the new version is live.
Best regards,
Domba
@Domba Are you confirming for Adalo that they are now publishing to API level 35? Early in July they told me that it would be done by the end of this month but I can’t find anything office from Adalo that says that the upgrade has been done. Perhaps Adalo can respond here?
Hi @kenclem
Yes — as of now, everything seems to be in order. Adalo is publishing to API level 24+, so you should be good to go. You just need to build and submit a new version of your app.
Even IAPHub has already updated their SDK to 35 to support the required changes, in case anyone here is using it.
Hope that helps!
Best,
Domba
Sorry if my English isn’t perfect, but I’ll try to explain as clearly as I can.
When I uploaded a new version of the app, the warning on the Google Play Console disappeared.
So I think everything is fine now.
As for API 35 I can’t say anything for sure. But when you publish the new version, make sure to check all open and closed testing tracks too.
I had to update some of those as well.
Hope that helps!
Best,
Domba
You rock Doomba! Thank you. Wish the Adalo folks would keep us informed as well as you do!!
Hi there,
The release has been successfully pushed to ensure that all new Android builds now target API level 35.
Please go ahead and generate a new build and create a release to begin your testing. This will give you ample time to run tests, gather feedback from testers, and publish to production well before the August 31st deadline.
