By chance is there a complete or clear adn thorough tutorial how to connect API to Adalo? I am connecting a payment system via API and I can’t seem to make it work.

There are millions of different APIs, they are all different, and each API has its own tutorial.
There is no “Universal API tutorial” which covers all possible API integrations.
To understand the principles how to connect external APIs to an Adalo app, you can search for the info in Help pages, in particular, sections about Custom Actions and External Collections.
Just in case: Custom Action allows you to send something to external API endpoint and receive a reply (usually this is one piece of data). External Collection allows you to get a list of multiple pieces of data from some external source.
Also you can explore Adalo App Academy, in particular its “Build” section Course Category-Build. There are some videos about API integrations as well.
