Bug in "Relative" Date Format?

I’ve encountered an issue where the “Relative” date format isn’t displaying correctly on my mobile app, even though it works perfectly when testing through the Adalo dashboard.

Has anyone else experienced this with a recent build?

The relative date shows up properly in the Adalo browser test, like this: “in 6 days.” But after building the app and testing it on my device, I see the format as “2024-09-30T21:00:00:000Z” instead.

I’ve tested it on two different phones, and the problem persists.

This app has been live for over two years without this issue, but it suddenly appeared in my latest build. Could this be a bug in Adalo?

PS: I tried implementing this relative format from both “Date” and “Date & Time” database values. Same issue!

I opened a ticket and got a response from someone from the Adalo team within an hour!

It seems like it’s an issue they are aware of, and they are pushing for a fix with no specific time for this to be resolved. I hope it’s resolved as soon as possible, though, as this feature is one of the core functionalities behind my app.

Thanks @joe I’ve just added my first test builds to Google Play and Apple and see this issue in both native apps. Hopefully Adalo fix this quickly!

The “Relative Dates” issue still hasn’t been resolved, and it’s seriously impacting my app’s user experience since my app heavily depends on it.

Honestly, I’m surprised that such a simple feature, which worked perfectly for the past couple of years, has suddenly developed a bug.

I really hope Adalo fixes this soon; otherwise, I might have to consider switching to another platform.
