I am trying to add the calendar function in to do things like showing different colors for different events. I need to be able to pull data in from other calendars as well, is this possible? For example, can I link google calendars to appear as events as soon as the event is created outside of Adalo?

Build your own calendar from collection, check free cloneable app of Komun template, study the inside of that app.
Scheduling, calendaring is powerful and essential but should not be underestimated, the UX will break.
Where can I find to Komun template? I looked through the cloneable apps and did not see it
