I’m new, but based on what I’ve seen so far, there appears to be no current support for a data table/grid component. Since this is so surprising and disappointing, I wanted to get community confirmation that this is correct. There was a discussion on the here a few months ago, but nothing seemed to develop (at least to meet my needs). The custom list component will not be adequate. Thanks.

Custom list is the most complex component for repeating groups, so if you need more than that, I am afraid that it is not here yet.
But you can always give an example of that, perhaps I am assuming it wrong.
