New Table Design with Pagination - will old table component stop working?

Hi Adalo Team and Experts

Great new release on table components with pagination. Much needed and much appreciated :+1:

Quick question is, whether old default table section component will stop working? Because

  1. this latest release has different design on responsive screens - horizontal scrolling is enabled and multiple columns are accessible across all screen sizes

  2. older table did not have pagination, we have used limit on max items fetched and enabled load on scroll in lists

Hoping for a positive answer :crossed_fingers:

Can you send a screenshot of the component youā€™re asking about? I want to be sure that I answer correctly but Iā€™m not 100% sure what you mean. This is Adaloā€™s first table component (that weā€™ve build ourselves) so weā€™ve never had another one. There are some other table components in the marketplace by other developers. This component does not impact them in any way. There were also some ā€œtableā€ sections we had created previously that were simply custom lists. This launch also does not affect custom lists. They will work the same as always.

You answered the question already Josh in your last couple of sentences. Thanks :+1:

So not attaching screenshots.

Maybe I didnā€™t phrase my query properly, but I wasnā€™t talking about any custom components. I was asking about ā€˜tableā€™ sections in a previous release - when ā€˜sectionsā€™ itself was released, there were 4 under ā€˜tableā€™ section. As you said, they were custom lists.

But they had limitation in terms of how many columns could be accommodated especially in responsive views, so the responsive view tended to be ā€™ vertically stackedā€™ columns in one rectangle row. With the pagination rollout, its also possible to scroll horizontally so there is no limit on how many columns can be added.

Still, my question was whether these older ā€˜table custom lists/componentsā€™ would continue to be work, and its a relief to know they will.

Thanks again.

Yep, they will! We have replaced them with new table sections but the old ones wonā€™t break in any way!
