Hi @App_Up2,
Seems that fields on the 1st screenshot (screen) and click actions are completely different. Are you providing correct screenshots?
Best,
Victor.
Hello,
It is the same but it was just cut, I didn’t show the entire screen (collections) due to privacy purposes. How ever, my main concern is the action button, It prevents me from creating records.
Thanks much for the help.
Mark
Hi @App_Up2,
Usually “create record” action does not work when the content you’re sending is not correct: e.g you’re sending incorrect date.
It is not possible to guess what field could be causing problems based on your screenshot.
To fix issues by yourself, you can start with replacing all magic text fields with the static values and see if creation works. If it works, you can start adding magic text in the fields, along with creation testing. When creation stops working - that’s the field which is causing problems (or that’s the content of the field which is causing problems).
Best,
Victor.
Great recommendation, Yes you are correct. There are magic text included and autofill. I will try them one at a time and see where the problem is coming from.
One last thing, is there a easy way or what is the easiest tutorial I can find on how I can connect third party API to my app?
Thanks again,
Mark
@App_Up2 you can start here External Collections with APIs | Adalo Resources and here https://help.adalo.com/integrations/custom-actions, don’t forget to watch videos and to read “in-depth” explanations where applicable.
After that you should understand the basic principles. Exact API integration flow varies - some integrated easily, some require more complex work, some couldn’t be integrated at all.
Best,
Victor.
