Group Messaging Problem

So I have added the Group Messaging Template. I have figured everything out to get things connected for the app I am needing. The main issue I am having is when typing in the message box there is no message showing up. Just the name of the user, date and time. It does show up in the message database area. I have tried to research how to fix this without any luck.

I have tried all types of actions, update database, etc. I just keep running into a block with this.

I am building an app where RV campers are able to see where a group campouts are, other information and looking to have the group messaging for these campers at certain campouts to communicate between each other for events that are happening during the campout.

I erased the template for Group Messaging and started fresh again. Linked the buttton to the messaging page. Worked great. At the bottom there is a menu tabs. If I change those to link to other pages to go elsewhere in the app, I then can not see the messages again. Even if I go and take those links back out the visible message does not come back. I think I found the problem but not sure how to fix that problem.
