Help Please. Creating scheduled exercise program

I’m creating a fitness app.

I’d like to know how to do the following please?

  1. I’d like users to be able to schedule workouts from a fitness program (e.g. 12-month duration) on a calendar within my app and have the app list the workout/workouts for the current date as a “To Do list,” on the Home page.

  2. Have all scheduled workouts for a 12-month exercise program appear as a scrollable list under a separate, “calendar,” tab in the navigation bar.

Any help to achieve these two goals would be appreciated.

When it comes to the Schedule / calendar / exercise or fitness program(s) because…

“The devil is in the details”

My advice:

  1. Try to build it. If you get close, you can share screen shots and ask the forum how to do a specific task.

The key here is: ADD SCREEN SHOTS or Video screen capture. It makes it way easier to understand, and it will be easier than articulating with words.

From the users point of view, write down the work flow, in order.
i.e.

  1. Create new account
  2. complete profile
  3. select a workout OR program?!?
  4. select a date
    5… etc. etc.

Explore your Calendar feature options… figure out how that is going to work.
Are you going to use a calendar component, Calendarly, Zoom, Google,…etc. which is going to work for you, or your users.

Or, if you are just using days of the week, (and NOT dates, no scheduling, no payments.) it could be done easily.

Again, the devil is in the details.

IF you need help starting, you need collections:

  1. users.
  2. exercises
  3. exercise programs / work outs
  4. Calendar or schedule… not sure

Beyond that, not sure.
