LAIC! Where Free Speech Thrives!

Hello everyone! Nice to be a part of the community! Although I only recently made an account, I come here often to get advice and see questions asked by other Adalo Users. You all are awesome! With that, I would love for you all to check out a new social media site I built right here on Adalo! I’m open to feedback, critique, and suggestions! Its a community built for the people, so having feedback and input is goal! Below I posted the sites mission statement, just an idea what it’s all about! feel free to take a look!

Hey, thanks for sharing your project!

I took a look at the app and I have some honest feedback that I hope helps you improve it.
Right now the UI needs quite a bit of work: The home screen feels cluttered with the large banner taking up most of the viewport, leaving very little room for the actual content. And the post list is not centered on the Screen.

The post card text is getting cut off by the “New Post” FAB button, which is a usability issue. Also, the “Likes” screen shows empty placeholder boxes with no clear empty-state message guiding the user on what to do next : Just “Like posts from other users to see them here” with a bunch of grey blocks isn’t a great experience. Same happens for other screens too.

A few suggestions: reduce the banner size significantly so the feed is visible right away without scrolling, make sure the floating button doesn’t overlap content (I would add a “+” button in the middle of nav bar if I were you), and design proper empty states with icons or illustrations instead of blank grey areas. Small tweaks like consistent spacing, better typography hierarchy, and a more cohesive color palette would go a long way.

The concept is interesting, just needs more polish on the design side to feel ready for real users. Keep at it!

I agree, the idea is good. There are all sorts of points from a design perspective.

Thanks guys! I’ll work on those definitely! As we make the updates I’d love it if you kept the feedback coming! When the Kickstarter launches we would be honored to give you all a shout out as well!
