Does anyone know if it is possible to extract text from these Comment fields, merge it into one text and record it in the Summary field?

I’m not sure if this will do what you’re looking for but I would recommend the “Listify” component by Adalomatic.
It’s a paid component but it can merge a list of data.
you should see how the database is structured to give you a more precise answer.
In summary you can do this: use an input text cn inside both the text of the first comment and the text of the second comment. via an update the collection button by inserting the content of the text input as text.
If desired, this thing can be made automatic and hidden using tricks. If that’s what you need, I can give you more information
