I don’t know that this solution maybe can work to you : 1 Item per Page then click next item - #6 by pford. But maybe it can give you a starting point.
For me, I have a similar problem (for me how to only 1 item per page and have button next to show the next item) but still can’t find the solution yet. Because the solution above I don’t quite understand how to implement it if there are several filtering case.
