I’m new to Adalo and still early days. I’ve noted that looking at Youtube Tutorials a preview of a mobile screen is shown, however when I preview it only shows a wide laptop size screen.
Any idea what I don’t know and should do?
Since I use Chrome, I right-click and choose Inspect. That way, I can adjust the screen size to what I want to emulate; mobile, tablet, etc

You need to change your app settings to Mobile App Preview (from Publish > Web App > Select option)
or
If you are using a responsive app then what @bobklim suggested is good but you can also go with this one Mobile simulator - responsive testing tool - Chrome Web Store
