This issue is occurring with both the free ’ QR Code Scanner’ QR and the Paid one ’ QR/BarCode Scanner PRO’. I’m using QR Code Generator Pro to generate the QR.
My app has a build on iOS and Android. iOS version works perfectly. Camera launches, QR code is read as soon as the camera is pointed at it and every action is taken.
However, on android, the camera initializes without issue, but doesn’t recognize the QR code. Its hit or miss, mostly miss, like 95% of the time. I tried multiple android phones and tablets. I tried implementing the component multiple times. Resizing, reframing, tried it with nothing else on the page. Tried not having anything on or around the QR. I let auto focus do it thing. It just wont work. The camera refuses to recognize any QR codes.
I m not on android so can’t really give any advice, but I think first you need to find out is the QR code having issue or is the Camera component having issue. Try to download any other free qr code app to scan with the generated QR code to see if is work will be good first step.
@knight Thanks for the reply. I did some more testing, all my android devices had no issue reading QR codes from other sources with the native cameras and both the free QR code scanner and the paid QR code scanner. Same for my iOS devices. It just refuses to detect the QR code generated by QR Code Generator Pro. I tried different combinations of IDs, with and without logo, different colors. It just won’t detect the QR.
Also, while I have your attention, I get this error almost every time the application tries to load the QR code.
