Sorting Criteria doesn't always work

In my list of conversations, sometimes when I enter a conversation and then go back, the sorting criteria “updated - newest to oldest” isn’t always active and it sorts my conversations on what it appears to be “created - oldest to newest” and I have to close the app and open it again for the conversations to be sorted the way I selected.

Does someone know how can I prevent this from happening?

Have you enabled the setting ‘Auto refresh list’ within the list - Advanced Options?

No, I haven’t done that to not affect performance.
Since I’m coming back to this screen from another screen, it should already refresh the list.
