Hi all–appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’re looking into it. If there are any videos you could provide that show speed inconsistency, or log for us when the speed changes that would be helpful.
Nadav–your app was fast, and I think you’ve said you made some changes and it is now slow. I’d love to know what changes you made (in a ticket - please - way easier for our whole team to track) to understand if it was a change that was made or if this is something on our side. Any time information would be helpful too. We’re obviously constantly making changes, but at this stage we’re not tracking anything that should have impacted your speed. We need to know if we need to pull back the hood and review with a fine tooth comb if that isn’t the case.
@eduscvs thanks for writing in, but I believe your app is extremely large (from memory >100mb?). That is simply far too large for Adalo to handle on normal infrastructure, and you’ll need to reduce it significantly. Most likey, Adalo is timing out because of the size of your app. We’re also looking at your app to try and help you reduce size or help you come up with a solution.
Yes it is large…I am removing some test screen left behind from previous test. I am doing some housekeeping now, Hope this helps. I am almost done…done with screens. Hopefully the size should reduce
Latest Update: The “App not Found” issue has returned after a brief 2 hours of absence. iOS & Android builds have failed once again
I just removed a significant and very heavy component from the screen for testing and it just didn’t help, quite the opposite. I’m sure it’s on their side.
Hey everyone, I think I found the cause of the issues.
For those of you who have an app with a search engine like mine, I discovered (Adalo’s team didn’t mention this) that they recently released a feature called “On Submit Actions”, which you can now see inside the text input component.
It sometimes causes the search to crash—and then the entire app.
The solution I found that works is deleting the existing search bar and replacing it with a new one. This resolved the bugs and restored performance to normal.
Yes I have a similar problem…“App not Found”…& cannot build iOS & Android…it fails everytime. I submitted a support ticket & result is my app is too large. It was around 100MB. I removed many test screens & now its at 63MB.
I will try to do an audit & sacrifice non-essential screens & see if the issue rights itself. Support has been great offering hints. I never knew my app was 100MB!
If you are facing similar issues without having a large app, then send a support ticket..maybe it’s something else.
One more thing…changes made in the editor does not update sometimes
